A color-by-numbers (remember those?) ad for Penney's Toddletime Matched clothing sets. Check out color number 3. It says 'flesh'. Years ago, a teacher told me that the term fell out of favor as time went on due of course to the fact that skin color comes in more than one tone. This ad is from the sixties, but I actually still remember beige crayons in the early nineties labeled as 'flesh'. Oh how times have changed. Also, check out the prices on these things: two-piece sets for kids for less than three dollars!
