Hey you, filmophile.

I can't get enough of IWDRM (If we don't, remember me.), a Tumblr blog that posts animated gifs of scenes from your favorite movies. Subtlety is huge. I'm not a huge fan of gifs that practically depict entire scenes, so this blog gets it just right. It's usually just a moment or a gesture. Go follow if you have a Tumblr account. Here are just a few examples of what you'll find there. Personal favorite? Norman Bates, Psycho (gif #3 below), plus the one right after it. Yes, that is the back of one Mr. Brad Pitt in Fightclub, a movie I've seen more times than Zombieland (and that's saying something).

Black Swan

Tell me your mind didn't go there when you saw some of Jason Wu's dresses for his Fall 2011 collection. I'm loving these polka dot tights swan number one below is wearing. I have a darker set, but the lighter toned ones have been making an appearance, especially on Monique Lhuilier's runway. Also, the "dotty-ness" of those tights reminds me of a certain scene, which I won't spoil here, but you know what I mean.

Glam

Behind the scenes of the Vanity Fair shoot for the Hollywood Issue. I spy Joseph Gordon-Levitt (forever love Inception + 500 Days!), Andrew Garfield, and Jesse Eisenberg (but where is Natalie Portman?). Just saw The Social Network last night. It's a great movie, but you really have to pay attention; it's very wordy.

'January Red' by Ely Kim for Kate Spade. YES, Please! There is nothing about this scenario that I don't enjoy. I'd walk an hour in the cold in downtown Chicago to get some red velvet at Sprinkles right now thanks to this.

Founded by actor, Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer, Inception), hitRECord is a collection of world-wide collaborative efforts translated into film. If that's too vague or it doesn't make sense, he can probably explain it better himself. Here's just a taste of what you'll find there; I've had this tune stuck in my head for like a month.
